CLASSIC SLED ROUNDUP: Sponsored by Arctic Cat, Inc. of Thief River Falls, Minnesota on Sunday, May 25, 2008. Vintage and antique sled show and swap at the Community Park. Show registration starts at 8:00 AM. Music and food all day. Awards presentation at 3:00 PM and includes the awards ceremony for the Vintage Sno-Pro Series for 2007-2008. The beautiful Hall of Fame Sno-Pro Vintage Cup will be presented to Steve Smith of Alaska as the new Series Champion. Sled registration is $5.00 (max $25.00) and swap space is $20.00 for a standard size area. For additional information visit the web site and to view photos and judging results from past Roundups.

Area residents of St. Germain hold a community wide rummage sale from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM on the Friday and Saturday of May 30th & May 31st. A map to all the rummage sales will be available at the St. Germain Chamber of Commerce the day of the event.

FREE FISHING WEEKEND: Every year, the first consecutive Saturday and Sunday in June is designated as Free Fishing Weekend throughout the state of Wisconsin. All the waters of the state are open, including state waters of the Great Lakes and rivers bordering Wisconsin. Residents and nonresidents of all ages can fish without a fishing license (or trout or salmon stamps) over these two days. However, all other fishing regulations (length limits, bag limits, etc.) apply. This event is designed to encourage families to get out and fish together on Wisconsin waters.

* WALK IN THE WOODS ART FAIR:
1st Annual Fine Art Fair in St. Germain!  Held in the park behind the Chamber of Commerce from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.   Featuring many talented artists from around the area and their works, including but not limited to: pottery, paintings, photography, handmade jewelry and furniture.  There will be wine from Brigadoon Winery for sale by the glass as well as a wine tasting with fine chocolates and cheeses to accompany. Start your Independence Day celebrations in St. Germain! Parade is at 1:00 PM in downtown St. Germain.  Rides and games for all ages at Community Park. * 4th ANNUAL PIG IN THE PINES RIB FEST:  Professional Award Winning Midwest Rib Vendors cooking ribs every day; try a sampler or have a meal. Live bands performing all three days! Scheer's Lumberjack Show will perform three shows daily. Great Lakes Climbing will have games and rides for everyone. Event hours are 11:30 AM to 9:30 PM each day.
