Wisconsin produces almost 5 million barrels of cranberries a year. That’s more than 60% of the nation’s crop, making Wisconsin the #1 cranberry producer in the United States for the 19th consecutive year.

The cranberry is Wisconsin’s official state fruit.

Cranberries do not grow in water. A perennial plant, cranberries grow on low running vines in sandy bogs and marshes.
