Stump Dump Open

Saturdays, May 18, 2013 to June 8, 2013

The Stump Dump on Forest Lane (off Juve Road) will be open Saturdays only starting May 18, 2013 through June 8, 2013 from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. There is going to be a fee of $2.00 per load. As always this drop off site is for residential customers only. No contractor items will be allowed to drop off. Items that can be dropped off are grass, needles, leaves, brush, logs of any size are accepted. Items not accepted are dirty hay that has been used as bedding, stumps, lumber, household items and items with dirt on it.

Steve Spears Memorial Golf Outing

The St. Germain Golf Club will be holding the Steve Spears Memorial Golf Outing on Tuesday, June 11, 2013.  This will be a four (4) person golf scramble with prizes, raffles and a silent auction for golf packages. Registration begins at 10:00 AM; shotgun start at 11:00 AM. $100.00 per golfer (teams of 4). Entry includes, 18 holes of golf, cart and hors d'oeuvres to follow. All money raised will go to a college fund for Steve's children. To register, contact the St. Germain Golf Club at 715-542-2614. Registration deadline is June 3, 2013. Community UCC Thrift Shop

The Community UCC Thrift Shop has moved to its new location (at the old Camp's store).

The new location is at: 446 Highway 70, St. Germain, WI 54558, (715) 479-9050.

The hours are: Mon. 10-3, Tue. 10-3, Wed. 10-3, Fri. 10-3 & Sat. 10-3. Closed Thursdays & Sundays.

DNR Burning Permits

Wisconsin residents can get burning permits by dialing the phone or booting up their computers this year. People can call the Department of Natural Resources at 1-888-WIS-BURN between 7 AM and 10 PM daily. A customer service representative will issue the permit over the phone and it will be delivered either by email or traditional mail. Permits are also now available on the DNR's website, they're still available through local ranger stations and fire wardens. All permits are free and good for the calendar year.

E-Waste Collection & Recycling

Eagle Waste & Recycling, Inc. is now accepting electronic devices sold to Wisconsin households and K-12 public schools for recycling. We are the only DNR registered E-Waste Site in Vilas County. E-Waste items include TV's, computer monitors, computer CPU's, keyboards, fax machines, DVD players, VCR players, consumer desktop printers and scanners. This service is available at our Eagle River drop-off site. Please see the below Description & Sorting Procedure details and our EED Recycling Price Sheet. The Oneida County Heath Department has scheduled flu shot clinics countywide but clinics will be subject to vaccine delivery.
